My HSE Team respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We follow Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

My HSE Team provides fractional health, safety and environment (HSE) services to employers across Canada. We are based in Alberta. Our mailing address is 11922 89A Street, Grande Prairie, AB T8X 1M2.

What this policy covers
This policy covers myhseteam.com and the messages you send us through it. Personal information we handle while delivering services to our clients (for example, worker training records or incident reports) is covered by our service agreements with those clients.
Information we collect
When you contact us
When you use the form on our Connect page, we collect what you enter: your name, company, email address, phone number, number of workers and your message. Only your first name, email address and message are required. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Automatically, when you visit
- Your IP address, browser and device type, the page you were on and the date and time. We record these with each form submission, and our security software records them in its logs to protect the site from attacks.
- Signals used by Cloudflare Turnstile, our spam check on the contact form, such as your IP address and browser details. These are used only to tell people from bots.
We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking on this website, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
How we use your information
- To reply to your message and arrange the conversation you asked for.
- To understand your needs if you become, or are considering becoming, a client.
- To keep this website secure and stop spam and abuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We will not use your information for any other purpose without your consent. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Consent
By sending us the contact form or an email, you consent to us collecting and using your information as described here. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to hello@myhseteam.com. If you do, we will stop using your information and delete it unless the law requires us to keep it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run this website and our email, and only so they can provide that service to us:

We may also disclose personal information when the law requires or allows it, for example in response to a court order.
Service providers outside Canada
As the table shows, some of our service providers may store or process your information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. Cookies
This website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Our spam check and security tools may use small files or similar technology that are strictly necessary for them to work. If you sign in to manage the website, WordPress uses cookies to keep you signed in.
How long we keep it
We destroy contact form submissions, including the notification email we receive for each one, two weeks after they are submitted. Copies kept by our email-sending software are also deleted within 14 days. If we continue the conversation by email, or you become a client, we keep that correspondence only as long as we need it for that purpose. Security logs are kept only as long as needed to protect the site. When we no longer need your information, we delete it.
How we protect it
We protect your information with reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, a website firewall, two-factor authentication on our administrative accounts and access limited to the people who need it. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don’t send us sensitive personal or health information through the form.
Your rights
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and how we have used it.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your information.
To make a request, write to hello@myhseteam.com. We will respond within 45 days, as PIPA requires. We may need to confirm your identity first.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
If something goes wrong
If a privacy breach involving your information creates a real risk of significant harm, we will report it to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta and notify you as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
