Professional HSE for the businesses that need it most
Every employer carries the same legal duties for health and safety, but many don’t have a safety professional on staff. Our mission is to give them that expertise, at a size and price that fits.
We spent years running safety programs in Alberta’s oil and gas and construction sectors. We saw good companies lose work, or put people at risk, because nobody had the time or training to keep their program current. My HSE Team exists to fix that.
Our mission
Give every employer access to professional health, safety and environment management, whatever their size.
Our vision
Workplaces where working safely is simply how the job gets done, at any company size.
What you can count on from us
These are the commitments behind every program we build and every call we take.
People come first
Every recommendation starts with one question: does this help someone get home safe?
Straight answers
We tell you where your program really stands, including the parts that are hard to hear.
Field-tested safety
We’ve worked on the tools. Our procedures are written for crews to use, not for a shelf.
Confidential by default
Your incidents, audits and business details stay between us.
Environment is part of the job
Spill response, waste handling and environmental obligations are built into your program from day one.
Who we are
A small team of senior HSE professionals with decades of combined field and management experience across Alberta’s energy and construction sectors.

Ben Cracknell
Co-founder. CRST, NCSO
Ben has 14 years of HSE experience in Alberta’s oil and gas and construction sectors, in the field, the shop and the mod yard. He started on the tools as a rigger and worked his way up to Safety Manager, so he knows what safety looks like on the ground.
Before co-founding My HSE Team, Ben managed HSE programs at EPFC Corp for nearly a decade, handling everything from COR audit preparation and incident investigations to ISN and ComplyWorks.
- Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST)
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO)
- Certified Fall Protection Instructor

Alain Dupuis
Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter. COR auditor
Alain trained as a carpenter and then a journeyman pipefitter/steamfitter before moving into safety, so he brings a tradesperson’s view to every program.
He has worked as a field safety advisor, corporate safety manager, program developer, COR auditor and incident investigator — for contractors and for clients. What drives him is people: building safety cultures that change how a crew thinks, talks and looks out for one another.
- Contract field advising and corporate safety management
- COR auditing and incident investigation
- Safety program development
